I've got to Stop collecting and Start getting on the water more!!!

I know many paddlers say you can never have too many boats, but I have too many.

I'm really loving this must recent one though.

When my back would not allow me to sit in a kayak, I took up Canoe Rowing.  And loved it for many years.  It's a great over all exercise and makes my back feel better afterwards.  Rowing a canoe in a chop and small waves is easier than paddling a kayak.

A kayak is often faster and it is definitely more fun playing in the waves and surf, but for whole body exercise, fishing, crabbing and picnicking with a grandchild, I like rowing better.

The Old Town Discovery 17 is a 120 pound beast. It is a beast to move of the land and glides through the water like a whale.

Perhaps I shall name her the Whaledbeest!

Long time between posts

I am still thinking about paddling and sailing and doing some of it too.  I'll tried to get back to posting regularly.

Since my last post, I have a new to me kayak hauler and some new to me kayaks.
